Chained
|
| |
In pain they cried for freedom, but there wasn't a listening ear.
If only a friend close by could wipe their fallen tears.
Their best days were covered with happiness
their worst days - daily hits, kicks, screams.
Their faces were scared - scars no one wanted, but they put on a happy smile. They stopped to think was it love at first sight?
They did not get an answer, but they continue to fight for freedom.
In the beginning, freedom was a choice, they could not
understand; they'd always lend a helping hand. There
were promises to keep until death do they path,
but where should they start when they were chained.
Too late to be sorry they cried . they were trapped - traps no one wanted. It's the little things that count
working together in harmony, but they failed because
they were chained.
Happy, happy home they dreamt, accepting responsibilities,
the art of loving, two perfect people they thought.
It's a hard road to walk. Don't go it alone.
Be friends to the end.
Happiness - it's your choice.

Weight Crisis
I watched my weight increased,
but I never stop to care.
Go dieting, walking, swimming,
my family told me.
My life they hold so dear.
I unexpectedly find myself crawling
to hide my sluggish looks,
but when I look across the path
I saw another me. I stood waiting, shook her hands,
and ask, "How will we ever pleased everyone
that cross the path we trod.
We laughed aloud and asked ourselves, "Who
are the gray-haired, thin ones pleasing?"
Get out of your shells, you overweight
and go on with your lives, though the time
lost was too much pain,
the years ahead will be gain.
So no matter what voice you hear,
the message is always clear.
They ask, "why can't you lose that weight?".
